Douglas S. Zucker, Esq. is a partner in the Weiner Law Group. He represents private and public sector employers and not-for-profit organizations in all aspects of labor and employment law, and represents both companies and executives in negotiating and drafting executive employment agreements and exit packages, including compensation, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation provisions. Mr. Zucker focuses much of his attention on issues involving family and medical leave, disability and reasonable accommodation, employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour counseling (including overtime, exempt status, and independent contractors), discipline and discharge issues, as well as drafting and revising employee handbooks and policies. Mr. Zucker conducts internal workplace investigations, is a dynamic presenter of management and employee training programs and also conducts individualized one-on-one workplace harassment and sensitivity workshops.
Mr. Zucker has considerable experience in defending employers against employment discrimination and harassment suits, wage and hour claims, including class actions, whistleblower claims prosecuting and defending restrictive covenant litigation, and litigating commercial disputes before state and federal courts and administrative agencies such as the NJ Division on Civil Rights, the EEOC, and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mr. Zucker also has extensive arbitration experience and represents unionized employers in collective bargaining and contract administration, and in matters before the National Labor Relations Board and the NJ Public Employment Relations Commission.
Mr. Zucker is the author of numerous articles related to the areas of wage and hour compliance and recent developments under an activist NLRB. Mr. Zucker earned his BS in Commerce from Rider College, his MS in Industrial Relations & Human Resources from Rutgers University School of Management & Labor Relations, and his JD from Fordham University School of Law. Mr. Zucker is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in both New Jersey and New York.
